Gold Standard Radio is an independently run, community-led broadcasting platform. "The Alternative to Mainstream Radio" — amplifying local voices, developing talent, and delivering high-quality music from around the world.
We designed and built the entire digital platform from scratch — a dark, premium experience with a cinematic video hero, custom live streaming audio player, DJ profile cards, artist interview pages, animated soundwave separators, and a persistent mini-player that follows listeners as they browse. Every element reflects the station's motto: "Excellence, Not Perfection."
Radio lives after dark. The deep black palette with gold accents captures that late-night broadcast energy. Cinematic video backgrounds, atmospheric photography, and warm lighting create an immersive experience that feels like stepping into the studio.
A fully custom streaming player with live/pause controls, volume slider, waveform visualiser, and real-time metadata from AzuraCast — showing the current track, artist, show name, and listener count. A persistent mini-player bar docks to the bottom so audio never stops while browsing.
